Notes  /  Choosing a setting

Private or community acupuncture?

I offer private acupuncture on the Upper West Side and community acupuncture in a shared treatment room in Brooklyn.

Visit guide

Which room suits you?

Start with the setting where you’d feel comfortable. Each clinic has its own calendar.

  1. Private or community acupuncture? Two rooms open to show different ways to see Davin.
  2. On the Upper West Side, one treatment table stands in a private room.
  3. In Brooklyn, several tables share one treatment room. The clinic uses a sliding fee scale.
  4. Consider privacy, budget, and travel when choosing where to book.

Would you prefer a room to yourself?

I see patients one-on-one in a private room at Alban Acupuncture on the Upper West Side. I’m in network with Aetna and Cigna there. If you’d like to use your insurance, call the office before you book so we can check what your plan covers.

What is a community visit like?

At Brooklyn Acupuncture Project, we’ll start by talking about your health history and what you’d like help with. Then I’ll treat you in a shared room where other patients are also resting. You can choose what you pay from the clinic’s sliding scale.

How do I choose?

Think about how you feel sharing a treatment space, the cost and the trip you would make to each office. Compare the locations, then check the clinic’s calendar for an appointment with me.
